THE CRIMSON EDGE

PREMISE: The last few months have had a subtle impact on the three realms, but have only proven that something bigger may be coming. There has been an increase in hollow and Arrancar activity in both Hueco Mundo and the World of the Living and that isn't all. An hour ago, Captain Mifune of the Ninth Division received an emergency message that alerted him of the fall of one of his patrolling squads. If the message is to be believed, the only revealed information (unless the owner of Captain Mifune posts otherwise) about all of this is that the Mikazuki are suspect in this heinous attack and that there is only one possible survivor.

Your Mission: You must rescue the fallen shinigami who sent the message at all costs and recover as much information about the attack as possible. Return the bodies of fallen shinigami, if you can, and find out if there are anymore survivors.

Rules: Follow the sites event rules. Start the mission using this thread. While it's not required, it is a good idea to send someone of Lieutenant level or higher and a strong healer. Gotei members only. Anything else goes. Have fun!

Perhaps it was a test. Or maybe it was just them giving her a strange mission first. But no matter what, Kei had been assigned this mission. If Captain Mifune of the Ninth opted out of participating in the official part of things, Kei would be in charge. Sending out one Captain was strange enough though, even for something like this. A more analytical mind might have figured out the reason why. Kei was not a very analytical person. No, she was just impatient.

That's why she hadn't sat down since the order was given to her by Head-Captain Saionji. Her Zanpakutō was bouncing at her hip with each pace. She was about to go and grab the other assigned members herself and drag them here. Thankfully, she didn't have to wait too much longer. It had just hit evening, and daylight was fading fast. She wasn't afraid of the dark anymore thankfully.

"You're late." Kei's icy voice lept at the first person to arrive after her. They may not have actually been late, but by her standards, they were.

"Midori, you've got a mission. Go."

"Yes, Captain."

Midori Hayashi was not someone often sent out on missions beyond the walls of the Seireitei. If she is chosen on such a thing, it becomes obvious to everyone that the request is dire. In other words, someone was on the verge of death and a single second could not be wasted. This was still strange because there had been many who fallen in battle, but she was never called then. Why was this particular mission in need of her expertise? What the hell happened?

It wasn't long before Midori found her way to the assigned gate and met Captain Makabe there. While she had never met this woman before, she had heard rumors of her cold attitude. The greeting she was given only confirmed them. "Captain Mifune has already left. We should move quickly if we are to save the life of Ms. Ito." Midori immediately began moving once she finished speaking. There was no time to waste here when someone needed her help.

Indeed, Captain Mifune had already gone ahead by the time the others began to assemble at the gate; when he had received the message he had set things in motion.  Mifune had never been a man to let much grass grow under his feet after all.  He'd sent word to the First Division of what had happened, requesting aid from the Fourth in case of injuries and anyone else they thought relevant.  He'd gathered members of the Division who had been in residence, though this amounted to precious few individuals since the Ninth was already spread thin given the area to cover, and made sure a message was sent out to those squads still out on active duty on the fringes of the Rukongai.  He also made sure a message was sent out to his Vice Captain to appraise her of the situation; then he had taken the small squad he'd put together and departed.

Partly, Mifune figured the others could use his reiatsu to hone in on the location he was headed to.  Mostly though, Mifune was angered.  He and his Division patrolled constantly in an attempt to make the Rukongai a safer place.  While there had been some butting of heads with the Mikazuki this was different, he could feel it in his bones.  This wasn't an ending, but a beginning, and nothing good could come of it.  This was why he had headed out himself, before he could be ordered to stay or move out.  He wasn't going to send his Division members out like lambs to a slaughter.  If someone was planning another ambush, they could deal with him instead.

When he had arrived at the location, he'd had the squad spread out to search the area.  He kept his senses sharp, listening and feeling for anything that disrupted the surroundings.  There were signs of conflict around, and Mifune began to move about, questioning any of the people that were alive nearby about what they had seen.

XIANG FEI

THE CRIMSON EDGE ARC [EVENT ONE] -COMPLETE- JCRrxmK

This was the exact reason the Gotei should be ready for everything. It wasn't often that Xiang Fei was summoned directly, but she didn't dare question the orders of Mifune, her captain. If it had been anyone else, another Captain or maybe even the Captain Commander, she would have taken her time to respond to the request; but Mifune was different. She looked up to him as a swordsman, and a superior she could infinitely learn from. By the time she had left the barracks, a scowl of anger had overtaken Xiang's face, her zanpakuto's hilt was tightly squeezed as she ran. It was her responsibility to oversee Rukongai. And such a slaughter happened right under her damn nose. It made her angry. But not at the enemy, and definitely not at her comrades, but at herself.

By the time she arrived, Kei and Midori had already met up, both of which were still far behind Mifune. Her facial expression shifted from anger to concern, she could feel it from everyone, not only the confusion, but the sadness that the Gotei were being hunted once again. She nodded softly to Midori, someone she had not had the pleasure of meeting until now, but heavily understood her role would be vital in this crisis. Her crimson eyes held a hint of sadness, and she gave a short bow out of respect to the captain present.

"Captain Makabe."

She spoke with a thick Northern Chinese accent, very clearly struggling to pronounce the words due to her limited Japanese knowledge. She closed her eyes, and held back a tear from her eye. She had received word that the Mikazuki were responsible on her way over, and for a small moment that hot-headed personality gripped her. Xiang's heart began to fill with anger, but tried to keep herself calm and contained in front of the legion of underlings who followed her over, as well as the Captain who would not take kindly to weakness in front of their peers, she presumed. There was no time for pleasantries, and hurried after Captain Makabe and Midori as they made haste.

Kei shook her head, still pacing. "We're waiting on his Lieutenant. It's better to have her arrive with people rather than her recklessly follow her Captain." Who also seemed to be acting recklessly, she thought. "The fewer separate groups, the better. But we're not waiting on a full investigative team. Two Captains and two Lieutenants will be more than enough to handle any problems."

It wasn't long before Mifune's Lieutenant, a young Chinese woman, arrived as well. Kei noticed the concern on her face. That was to be expected. She nodded her head in return for the respect Xiang gave her. She might be a bitch, but there were some niceties she responded to. "Now that everyone has arrived." Kei adjusted her Haori. This was her first actual mission as a Captain. "Follow me."

Kei looked back again. Midori was straining to keep up. Kei sighed and swore under her breath. "...Lieutenant Xiang, slow down." She ordered Fei with an even tone as she herself slowed. "I'd rather get there and be in peak form. The medic shouldn't be exhausted." While that was a shot toward Midori, it wasn't actually meant to be a harmful or, frankly, bitchy one. Kei was just blunt.

While they did arrive after Captain Mifune, it was no more than a few minutes behind him. It didn't take long to find him among the carnage. It wasn't looking good for the Ninth. They'd probably want blood. "Lieutenant Hayashi, see if you can find any survivors. I'll get an update from Captain Mifune before joining you." Kei led Fei in the direction of the other Captain. "Head Captain Saionji sent me to assist." That was her introduction. Being one of the three female Captains, it wasn't hard to figure out which one she was. "Have you found out anything so far?"

"It's not the Lieutenant acting recklessly, if you ask me." Midori said quite bluntly, as if respect was not something she cared to show in the moment. Midori's silence continued throughout most of the upcoming conversation. When Lieutenant Xiang showed up, she greeted the fiery woman with a quick wave instead of the nod. The group hurried on and Midori was indeed having trouble keeping up. It was a long way out to the scene of the attack and she wasn't the quickest one there. When Captain Makabe called for them to slow down, Midori was a little embarrassed, but did appreciate the change.

They group arrived and Midori's entire demeanor hardened. She looked around at the slaughter with nothing to tell behind her eyes. It was as if she was used to seeing such destruction. The blood splattered along the ground, seeping out from bodies that only recently had gone cold. Once she was given ordered by Captain Makabe, the idea for yet another kido entered her mind. She'll end up working on it later. She followed her ordered and looked around, figuring the others would speak with Captain Mifune first. As she did, Midori found a strange trail of blood that led off differently than anything else.

Midori wandered over, following the trail to a large bush next to a tree. She looked around and noticed the blood stopped, so she pulled some leaves back to see another body laying there. It was a woman covered in so much blood it was doubtful that it was all her own. A large wound on her head dripped blood down her face. Her left leg, stomach, and chest were punctured by something, but... Midori narrowed her eyes, looking a bit closely and saw very faint movement in the woman's chest. "She's alive." Midori said loud enough for the others to hear her, "I need her moved to a flat area."

Mifune and the rag-tag squad he'd been able to pull together numbered six.  Once Captain Makabe had arrived with the other two in tow, they totaled 9 with two Captains and two Vice Captains present.  His squad had found the beginnings of the destruction and followed it to the scene where they now found themselves.  Mifune had given few orders since they had arrived, other than to start moving the bodies and searching the area.  He'd knelt down and inspected one of the bodies near the center of the clearing, taking note of the violence visited upon one of his.  His face was a mask, but his eyes burned in their rage.  Rather than let that rage consume and drive him though, Mifune filled himself with it and burned it like fuel.  He rose; six.  He could feel six presences that were not his.  They'd not moved yet, and he'd been careful not to call them out.  If this was indeed to be another ambush, calling it out could have been a risky.  With backup on the way, Mifune opted to bide his time.

Which brings us to the present moment, as Captain Makabe approached him and asked what he'd found.  At the same moment, the Vice-Captain of the Fourth called out that she'd found someone alive.

“Help her,” he ordered his small squad as his eyes finally swept the treeline around them.
“That the patrol was ambushed, attacked with bladed weapons, and moved to this spot,” he said as an answer to Kei's question.
“There is evidence of torture on most of the bodies.  Couldn't tell you why just yet,” he said, turning to look at his fellow Captain.  “Best keep the squad close by,” he continued, hoping that Kei would get the subtle hint that they weren't alone out here.  If it appeared that she got it, Mifune would reach up and scratch the back of his head 6 times as he continued speaking.
“Someone has strayed far from the path of the warrior to have done this; they're an animal that needs to be put down.”

Xiang's face held a grimace of annoyance as captain Makabe called for her to slow down. She knew they had to stay as a group, but Xiang was impatient. It had been so long since she was summoned personally, and under these circumstances, she felt a measure of personal responsibility. That annoyance quickly faded, and upon arriving at the scene itself, turned to a chilled wind that traveled down her spine. The blood, the cold bodies. The few seconds she had arrived, a sinking feeling hit her gut, and her fist clenched in anger. Captain Mifune and Makabe were two people she truly admired, not only did they keep their cool, but in the face of such terrifying scenery managed to order their subordinates with precision. She closed her eyes, and gulped down her nerves. She needed to be a leader right now. She needed to prove her strength.

She didn't even have to say a word to Mifune, she simply nodded. They both knew their swords spoke louder than words.

Xiang had already begun responding to the order from her captain, and moved towards Midori's location to see the woman covered head to toe in blood. It was wonder she was alive, and she prayed that the magic of the fourth division would be able to bring this woman to a stable condition.

"请住..."
'Please live...'

Under her breathe, Xiang prayed. She wrapped the bloody woman up in her arms in one fell swoop, and pulled her from the clearing. Where a small squad of subordinates had already laid a soft blanket, Xiang Fei laid her upon it and took a step back, making sure to give room to Midori to do what she needed. Her vision shifted back to Captain Mifune, and stuttered in her broken Japanese in response to his words.

"There is no... Honor in this fight. Nobody should die... like this... I will hunt them."

It took Kei a minute, but she did eventually understand what Mifune was hinting at. It was honestly not that surprising that the attackers might still be around. She tried to focus in to sense what he did, but she only found four of the six. If she knew where the other two were, she'd erect an inverse barrier around the area. So it was time for a second idea. Kei was perhaps the best practitioner of Kidō the Gotei currently had. That's why she was able to extremely subtly begin casting. A tiny line of silver left her hand and snaked around Midori and the nearly-dead Shinigami. It formed a perfect circle and hid itself there. It was just waiting for the command.

But now Kei was finally able to focus on the carnage around them. The sole survivor was a young lady, who didn't look all that much younger than Kei herself. She swallowed as the battlefield truly came into view. She'd seen much worse doen to individuals. But it's when there are multiple people that it just seems so unreal. One person getting tortured and bloodied? That's one thing. When multiple people are? It's not normal in any sense. It's distinctly abnormal, and never something someone could steel their stomach for. Kei felt the urge to throw up, but she held her calm. She was a Captain now. People already doubted her because of her recent promotion. She didn't need another reason for it.

"No." Kei said blankly, looking at the broken body laying before Midori. "To call what did this an animal is wrong. Someone willingly had to do something like this. As your Lieutenant said, there's no 'honor' in this. Honor doesn't exist in the animal kingdom. But this is an affront to those who believe in honor. It's an acknowledgement it exists, then spitting in its face." And Kei decided to make a gamble."But of course, the Mikazuki would have no 'honor.' They're not warriors. They're not even an army. They're just a militia made of farmers and housewives too self-interested to do anything else. They might say lofty things, but deep down their own self-centeredness rears its head. Not a single one looks out for the good of their community, like the Gotei does." And so, Kei called out the potential ambushers, hoping and praying they were Mikazuki...

Midori followed the members that helped move the survivor while charging up a kaido in the palm of her hand. As the girl was set down, Midori sat next to her newest patient and focused. The kaido she was using would be unfamiliar to anyone here, but radiate in the form of a pulse, like ripples through water and tickling over the surface of the skin of those near her. It took the form of a fiery star, colored pale green, and a few tinier stars orbiting around its center. It was easy for those with keen senses over energy that she held a large amount of very dense energy in this one powerful spell.

"If we do not get her to the Fourth Division without harming her further, she will die, even with my help. Before anyone tries to start a fight or hunt anyone down, let's get her to safety." Midori said as she held the spell over the unconscious girl and took a deep breath, "Teiryu." The three smaller orbiting stars struck out and spiraled around the girl, lines of energy being made at a rapid rate. It looked like the energy was sewing itself over the girl's body to create a cast of sorts, like tiny wrappings forming a new bright green mummy. The girl was quickly being hidden from sight as the kaido took hold.

Mifune gave a small shift of a shoulder, ceding some of the point that Kei was making though it was obvious from his gaze that he didn't entirely agree. Before he could really respond though, both his Lieutenant and the Fourth's Lieutenant spoke up. He frowned, both at the sentiment behind his Vice-Captain's words and at Midori's dire comment. It seemed as though there guests had been listening, or simply choose an appropriately dramatic timing. He let out a small sigh as he started to turn back towards one piece of the attackers closing in on the group.
“They're coming; protect the injured and medic,” he said as he took a step forward, one hand drifting to the hilt of his blade.

Inside his head Mifune wrestled with his emotions, though that didn't show on his features unless you really knew him. The sight of so many of his Division dead enraged him, especially when considering the obvious cruelty the was inflicted here. This situation was almost designed to create heated emotions and despite what his stoic exterior might have one believe it had certainly accomplished that. However, above all things Mifune had trained for centuries to ensure control; control over his blade, body, and emotions. Rather than letting his emotions run him, he took those emotions and shackled them with control. He turned those raging emotions tempered with his control and made it into fuel.

Where one step began and the next ended was difficult to follow. Mifune's blade flashed in the remnants of light that shown about the scene, and three of the encroaching attackers fell to the ground. Blood splashed across the trees; it some ways, it was a merciful death and more than they deserved. They had inflicted sustained pain and suffering on his men and women, but rather than return that pain back to them Mifune's enemy simply ceased. They may not have even known what had happened. Well, two of them anyway. The third had been struck hard with the back of the blade, a technique that should have rendered them unconscious at his feet. They staggered, but did not fall. Mifune did not waste time with surprise or questions; two swift strikes pierced the staggered man, a technique known as Senka. It would render him powerless, but potentially able to answer the questions that needed asked.

"I will carry her. As swiftly as possible."

Unlike her captain, Xiang was not so easily hiding her emotions. She had trained all of her life to become a better swordsman, to let her blade sing more beautiful than any song, but as a result had left so many emotions to run wild. It boiled in her chest, and her hands visibly began to tremble. Blinded by her anger, by her grief, she held back tears but left herself vulnerable. She didn't even sense the presence, and the moment her captain spoke, she was shaken back to reality. Before she even knew what had happened, the enemy's blood soaked the earth, and the dumbfounded Xiang Fei hesitated but for a moment.

"Why..."

That one soldier left alive. If Mifune had killed them all, she'd have half a mind to brutalize their corpses for what they did to her squad mates. But she turned to her captain, gave a small nod, and let her hand rest on the hilt of her zanpakuto, just waiting for the moment to slice this fiend's head clean off. Rendered helpless, Xiang scanned over to the man and used every ounce of will power to stop herself from walking over and reforming his face with her fist. Watching Kei and Mifune be so stoic in a terrifying situation... it struck a cord with Xiang, and she closed her eyes as she spoke with a calm tone.

"You deserve a worse fate than what I'll grant you. You Mikazuki won't catch us off guard again."

She turned with a new calmness to her demeanor, as her reiatsu began to settle and attune with her surroundings. Scanning the surroundings, Xiang could now feel their presence as both captains could, but her zanpakuto still rested at her waist, waiting for the perfect opportunity to draw it. Her eyes continued to scan the battlefield, and for a moment was taken by surprise as one directly leaped out onto her, sword swinging down from overhead. Blink, and you'll miss it. A red line of blood immediately soaked into the enemy's shirt and splattered onto Xiang's upper body, very nearly sliced in two. It was as if she didn't even draw her blade, the attack was so fast even the trained would struggle to follow the blade's movements. Not even paying mind to the blood that now soaked her, she hurried over to Midori and placed a hand on her shoulder, watching as two more emerged from the clearing and prepared to engage the group.

"What do you wish for me to do? I can take her right away, but I won't leave you unprotected."

In a flash, three were downed. It surprised Kei, but it also frustrated her. Well, this whole thing frustrated her. She was being forced to change her targets on the fly. And if either Mifune or his Lieutenant ended up in her way, she'd have to hold back on attacking. She had good aim, but she didn't know how they'd react to a Kidō being thrown in their face. It just wasn't worth the trouble.

That's why when there were two left, Kei decided these would be hers. Xiang asked a question that was more directed to her Captain and not Kei. Well, it should have been. It was instead really directed at both of them. "My suggestion would be to take her and run." Kei spoke still calmly and evenly. She had to hide the annoyance and irritation bubbling around. As she spoke, she spread her arms out wide. On either side of her, fifty meter-long rods appeared. "But I'm not your Captain and can't give that order."

Kei's arms crossed over her body in an "x" like she was directing traffic. Fifty rods went towards one of the incoming Mikazuki and fifty at the other. "Bakudō Sixty-Two: Hyapporankan."Usually, a single rod is thrown that splits into a hundred. But once you learn enough about Kidō, you can skip some of the built-in steps like that. The two Mikazuki were pierced and held down by the rods.

Kei turned to Mifune. "I assume you want to talk to these tw—" One of the rods shifted free, and one of the two Mikazuki members continued their charge. Kei pointed a finger at him and a bolt of lightning seared through his chest. A hole about the size of a cantelope took the place of his heart. "This one?"

Midori did not make a move, or even flinch, when the enemy charged the camp. Her focus was elsewhere and she trusted two Captains and another Lieutenant to deal with them without much problem. She continued to focus the intricate kido around the fallen Shinigami as the enemy fell around her. "The problem is that you can't just run." Midori explained after the fight came into an end, "This kido pretty much freezes her in time, but it is temporary and does not keep her still. If she is wounded further through any bad movements on our part, it'll be bad and I doubt any of us want that to happen."

Midori completed the kido and the shinigami was completely wrapped up. The energy around the body calmed and glowed very faintly. You could no longer see her beneath the energy wrapped around her. "We have to figure out a way to get her back and keep her as still as a statue. Unfortunately, that is one spell I hadn't thought of making... Any ideas?"

Mifune's gaze went shifted to his downed opponent, and a frown creased his features.  His eyes tracked back up and around the field as the rest of the 'ambush' came to similar abrupt ends.  The words of his Vice-Captain likely spoke for most of the Ninth at this moment, which may have been good since it was mostly Ninth Division ears that got to hear those words.  Vice-Captain Hayashi spoke up in response to the suggestion of moving the injured survivor, stating that caution was needed and that rough handling would result in her death.  Captain Makabe spoke to him, regarding the survivor she had managed to render immobile.  Mifune looked to him, then around the field.  He reached out with his senses and found the rest of the forest around them dreadfully quiet.

“That would have been appreciated, but it does not seem we were intended to get such a chance,” he said quietly to his fellow Captain.  The man at his own feet was dead; he had used the same strike countless times in the past.  He knew how to make such a strike fatal, and how to avoid doing so.  Yet the man on the ground was dead.  In some ways, it almost felt like he had been dead before he'd charged into the clearing.  Something wasn't making sense here, that's what Mifune's gut told him.  He'd give his report to the Captain Commander.  For now he had to prioritize the present.
“Vice-Captain Hayashi, please instruct my men on how best to carry her back then.  We will take all the care and time needed.  No other enemy will come close enough to her, or you,” he said said clearly as he walked away from the corpses.  He did not bother to sheathe his blade.
“Vice-Captain Fei, you make sure that if anything gets past me, it does not get past you.  Everyone else, round up the bodies we can to take back with us; we will not leave any of ours here.  Captain Makabe, can you by chance help make sure none who would think to wisely attack us from afar can easily do so?” he asked as his men snapped to their grim task.

And so they made their way back to the Soul Society.  It was the beginning of a long night, and a dark time.

THE CRIMSON EDGE ARC [EVENT ONE] -COMPLETE- JCRrxmK

It was a delicate situation she was put into. On one hand, she couldn't easily carry the wounded woman without causing problems in the process of healing. She could hold her weight without a doubt, but she could not risk their only surviving witness bleed out due to her incompetence. Thinking of a way to move this woman without hurting her was painful, Xiang wasn't skilled with Kidou and the only ideas she had came from her base survival instincts. At most, she could have her division members construct a makeshift wooden stretcher, something that would keep her body in a laid down position.

"It's not perfect, but I'll make my division craft a wooden stretcher."

Whether it was useful or not, her division began immediately searching for the materials they could use. She stood back up and took a step away from Midori, only now noticing the blood soaked into her skin and clothes. Almost as if shaking water off her skin, she wiped her brow and shook her hand dry of any blood that hadn't stained her skin yet. Her captain gave her the orders she needed, and despite the copious amount of questions she had for the last remaining enemy pinned by captain Kei's Kidou, she nodded in response and rested her hand on the hilt of her blade.

She almost had a smirk on her face as she turned to the captain and responded;

"Like anyone could get past you."

Yet, she took her job seriously. Her hand rested on the hilt of her blade as her division members worked until told the best way to carry the wounded back, and she awaited their next move.

"...You do realize you're with the Captain of the Kidō specialists, right?" Kei just sort-of blank faced at them until they reacted. Oh no, moving her would be dangerous. Oooh, bad. Kei had ways around this. She helped make the stretcher, then directed the men that Mifune would have deemed the strongest. Well, besides themselves, of course. "Pick her up and hold her steady. Get around me if you don't want to walk back to the Seireitei." Once everyone had gathered around her, Kei pulled out a white cloth. It seemed longer than it should have been. She spun it around the group. It was like a weird cocoon. And then, without an additional word... they were all back in the Seireitei. They weren't near the 4th Division, as Kei couldn't quite get the location right. Instead, they were in the middle of an open plaza. "Lieutenant Hayashi, you can probably call in the professionals to take care of your patient now." Kei turned to Mifune. "Who needs to protect when we can just get back here?"

With the ambush taken care of and the young woman of the Ninth Division back in the hands of her allies, things were looking up for the group. Midori focused on keeping the girl alive while the others worked to transport her safely. The stretcher the squad members made was appreciated and Midori made sure to tell them so. She carefully instructed them on how to move her, using whatever fabrics they had on their person to do so. There was one or two minor mistakes that were quickly corrected, but they safely got the unconscious member onto the stretcher and were ready to move. However, moving was just as dangerous. Luckily, Captain Makabe figured out a way to move the entire group with a rather impressive display of kido.

"Well, shit." Midori thought as she looked around the familiar area. She continued to instruct the group for until they were able to sit the patient down out of the way and immediately called her own squad for help. While they were waiting, Midori turned to the Ninth Division members, "We'll take it from here. For now, she is safe. I will inform you all of any changes to her condition, better or worse, and will be sure to monitor her myself, with Captain Aida overseeing the case as well. Until then, I ask that you all be patient." Now, she spoke directly to Captain Mifune, "Of course, you're welcome to come, but with the number of Shinigami that will be tending to her, we'll have to ask you to be in the waiting area for a while."

With the current state of the Seireitei, there wasn't much time before the rest of Midori's Division showed up to help. Their training allowed for a much more hastily transport without harming the patient. Soon, they were off and Midori followed, leaving everyone else behind. They likely had things to do, such as reporting the incident to the Captain Commander. Midori chose to bring the patient to one of the operating rooms. The group worked for quite some time to get the girl stable without the kido Midori put on her. They were able to bring her back to decent health, but the girl wasn't entirely out of the woods. She suffered many injury, the one to her head being the worst of them all. For now, the girl needed to rest and was kept sedated so she could.

Until she was healed enough, all everyone could do was wait.
