• Immense Reiryoku: Being the daughter of two of the legendary figures within the Soul Society, Akane inherited many of their strengths. One of them was an immense amount of Reiryoku. Although most of it remains latent due to how her energy was sealed, Akane has the potential to meet or surpass her parents due to how much Reiryoku she has inherited.
  
• Hand-to-Hand Natural: Akane also has inherited her parents' skill in hand-to-hand combat... to a degree. She has a natural affinity towards it and learns at a ridiculous pace. However, she doesn't like learning how to fight hand-to-hand.
  
• Inheritor: Because of her parentage, Akane's body is naturally stronger, faster, and more durable than others at her level. She gains a +2 to Strength and Durability and a +1 to Speed, Agility, and Endurance. This does not represent training, but the blood that runs through her veins.
  
• Zanjutsu Adept: Akane has one thing that neither of her parents seem to have: skill in Zanjutsu. This is entirely based on her training. Due to the nature of her Zanpakutō, she needs to be able to perform well with Zanjutsu in order for it to work properly.

Shikai Abilities: In truth, Akane doesn't know what all Ryūjin Jakka can do. She has very little mastery of her Zanpakutō. Its actual ability is to convert kinetic energy into explosions and flames. Thus, every hit the blade takes the stronger the flames that are created. Akane knows that it is a fire type, but she believes her Zanpakutō behaves more like a match. Her fighting style is grinding the blade against the ground until the blade begins to sparkthen launching flames from the blade in large, sweeping slashes.

Character Synopsis
Akane Nijigasaki is the sole biological child between Lilith Blake and Kaito Tōma. Due to memory modification, Lilith does not remember and Kaito was away in Hueco Mundo during that first year. Akane was stolen away at birth by Fū Endō. She was sent away to the Nijigasaki family in the Rukongai and had her powers hastily (and shoddily) sealed. Akane grew up with the Nijigasaki family. Only fifty years after Fū's death did Akane learn that she was adopted. The Nijigasakis did not know who her birth parents were, so Akane has been searching for who they might be. However, her 'mom and dad' are the Nijigasaki family.

Akane says that the only person that could be her parent is Lilith Blake of the Gotei 13. In order to find out more about Lilith (and to see if she was strong enough to actually be her mother), Akane joined the Gotei and has been division-hopping to find out more and more about Lilith. She is a fierce, friendly person who doesn't like hearing "no."
