SOUL SOCIETY NOBILITY
There are two types of nobles in the Soul Society: The Four Great Noble Houses and Minor Houses.
The Four Great Noble Houses are families and clans that have made impressive impact in the Soul Society. They’re also wealthy, have strong reputations, and are normally produce stronger Shinigami. These are the families that come together in order to enact the laws of the Soul Society. Since there are four, they also elect a trusted individual from outside the noble houses to act as a tie breaker.
Minor noble houses are families that have a decent amount of wealth, power, or influence in the community of the Soul Society. They have very little, if any impact on government.
Notable houses are larger families that have attained some form of notoriety, but they are not influential enough to be considered noble.
