Kaido: In his early years, Genzo attempted the path of a doctor. He wanted to help people, not destroy them. He wanted to heal, not hurt. He took this desire and did his best to learn kaido. His knowledge of the skill his great and his ability to perform it is average. When he realized that his energy was too destructive for its natural make-up to allow healing powers to truly hit their peak, he gave up and moved on from it.

Kido: Genzo's kido is barbaric in comparison to what it is meant to be. The sheer amount of force and lack of control he has behind his kido prevents him from using any of the elegant ones. He doesn't attempt binding spells because they don't work or they make the target explode anyway. The ones he can use are very "blast" oriented and have so much power behind them that he's cautious about using it.

Zanjutsu: The sword has always come to Genzo with ease. He's able to take any blade and make it an extension of himself. With skill in iajutsu and kendo, zanjutsu came easily to him. He's mastered these three techniques and is proud of his skill in them. Genzo has always proven to be proficient with dual wielding swords as well, though not his first choice in combat. He only takes out his second sword if needed.

Hoho: Essential. This is how Genzo would describe Hoho to anyone. "Whether you wish to master the art or not is up to you, but the technique is essential to the survival of Shinigami. Your ability to perform it will save your life and the lives of those who are counting on you." And so, his skill in hoho is above average.

Hakuda: Any sort of close quarters combat is a specialty of Genzo. It's not that it comes naturally, but it's the most enjoyable for him. Fighting with your fists feels the best because it is the most personal. Instead of using a blade to keep your distance, get in close and show your enemy your power. Show them that you will drop them with the sheer force of your own body and will. You do not need a weapon, you merely need yourself. Reliance on yourself is something that Genzo teaches to those who ask for his guidance. This is how he believes battle should be done.

Shikai Name:
Shikai Appearance: Genzo's eyes become blood red, his canines grow, and there are two horns that begin to grow out of each side of his forehead, but always seem like they're not fully formed. See his bankai and imagine the horns much smaller.
Shikai Abilities: Genzo gains a +10 to all of his natural skills and the ability below.

The Path: A line of energy forms up Genzo's blade over time, based on how combat is going at the time. For every missed attack against a target, he gains 10 stacks of rage. For every successful attack against a target, he gains 10 stacks of focus.

The first bar to one hundred unlocks a form in his bankai.

Meikai-sa no seishin (Spirit of Clarity) OR Ikari no akuma (Demon of Fury)

Bankai Appearance:

Bankai Abilities: Form chosen based on filled bar in shikai.

Demon of Fury: The demon of fury represents Genzo when he's at a low point. It represents his inner anger and his lack of control. He is not able to think clearly and goes into this berserk mode, where he will attack just about any person that catches his attention. The only way to get him out of his mode is by knocking him unconscious or by him successfully making five hits on his opponent(s). His knowledge of techniques is thrown out the window, so his racial skill sheet are all considered 20 lower. He has no ability to use any energy based form of attack.

Natural Skill Bonuses:
+20 Strength, +20 Speed, -10 Durability. (Stacks with shikai)

Spirit of Clarity: The spirit of clarity represents Genzo when he's at his best. He is able to think and act clearly, and his ability to control energy is more focused. This increase in his energy precision gives him a +10 to kido. Other skill boosts he gains +10 to all natural skills. All other abilities that he gains are described below:

Piercing Strike: Genzo can shoot out a beam of light from the tip of his blade. The beam fires with a lot of force behind it, giving it the ability to almost "drill" into its target. This ability can be used once per post and has a three post cooldown.

Vicious Wave: Genzo waves his blade and a blast wave of golden colored energy fires out over a large area. The wave flows over the area with pressure, like water pushing over the target. It can be used once per post with a three post cooldown.

Golden Shield: Genzo holds his blade in front of himself, releasing golden energy around himself that acts like a shield. The shield's strength is equal to his durability +20. The shield can be used once per post with a three post cooldown.

Pillar of Light: Genzo holds his blade up and fires a piercing strike into the air. It collects about three hundred feet in the air and slowly gains energy, size and power. For every post that it floats up there, it gains 1 point. Each point increases its radius by 10ft and it's durability penetration is increased by 10. When Genzo chooses to do so, he can call upon the pillar and it fires down like a sunbeam, striking the target with immense power. This ability can only be used once per thread.

Character Synopsis

Genzō could have been Captain, but after an accident in battle, he was shunned by almost everyone in the Gotei. A fellow shinigami intentionally released his Demon of Fury by aiding an enemy as if it were some sort of joke. In doing so, his rage took over and he attacked the shinigami as well. This caused his squad to try and stop him, but they lost their lives to his blade. When he returned to normal, he was surrounded by death and those of the Gotei blamed him for his failure. He spent one hundred years in prison and was banished from the Seireitei when he was released; this was an act against what he was originally promised. Angry and betrayed, he joined the Mikazuki with every intent on bringing the Gotei down for blaming him for the deaths of fools and taking a century of his life with a lie as a reward.
